BHMF visit Ground Zero in New York The Brighton & Hove Muslim Forum has returned from a very successful visit to New York where we represented the people of Brighton and Hove. 1- At the UN HQ, the BHMF took part in discussions on International Migration and Development. The BHMF helped to formulate a number of papers that were discussed at the full session of UN on 12th July. 2- The BHMF met with the team of Kings County District Attorney, Charles J. Hynes. Here we discussed matters that may benefit our community of Brighton and Hove. We looked at their impressive record on crime reduction and the role their own community has played in this. The BHMF hopes to work closely with our own Crown Prosecution Service in order to see what part it may be able to play in improving things within Brighton and Hove? 3- The BHMF also held meetings with community officers from the NYPD (New York Police Department) and discussed their part in reducing crime in the state of New York.
